Your Festival Volunteers

If you've never done festivals before or if you're a seasoned pro, you're always looking for volunteers who want to be part of a big event, but want to do a little job. They don't have time to dedicate to your project like you do. So one way to entice volunteers to be your committee chairs - or to help out in smaller roles - is to create a list of small jobs needing to be done and create job descriptions for each. That way, potential volunteers can weigh the commitment versus their time and interest. This way you wind up with a lot of volunteers doing small jobs - to create the whole.

MARKETING TIP: When you do get volunteers, make them feel important by showcasing them on your Website, Facebook page or blog. With some positive stroking, they'll make your job easier.
