I attended the NC Main Street Association annual meeting in Statesville, North Carolina this week. The agenda was packed with really good sessions spanning economic issues, retail store retention and communication.
I learned many of the attendees are regular Facebook users. They shared experiences where they had been able to promote their events through their friend communities.
Marketing Tip: Get a Facebook account and spend some time developing your list of friends and connecting to others. Share information about your upcoming festivals, events, new attractions, etc. with your friends. You'll be surprised who shows up!
